Installation Cheat Sheet Bosch Solution 2000 & 3000 Panels

Thank you!

Thank you for purchasing an alarm kit from www.CheapAlarmParts.com.au. This cheat sheet was developed especially by us to assist installers who are not specifically familiar with the Bosch Solution range of alarm panels. Please note that this cheat-sheet is not a Bosch product, and can only be purchased from www.cheapalarmparts.com.au.

Installing and planning your alarm installation:

1. Install the control panel in a suitable location. Preferably a location covered by a movement sensor. Try not to install the control panel in an area in which it may be difficult to service such as roof spaces and under floors. A floor to ceiling cupboard somewhere in your home or office where the main alarm panel can be mounted at eye level is usually the best option. Do not install the control panel in wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens or laundries.

2. Select the locations for other equipment. Keypads should be near the entry and exit areas. Movement sensors should be in the main areas of the premises, or where valuables are kept. The best option is to corner mount the sensors on an outside wall so they are looking into the room, and not out through a window. Although the sensor can not see through walls or glass, having them pointing away from windows where they can see heat changes and possibly blinds or curtains moving will reduce false alarms. The outside siren should be mounted on a flat surface where it can be seen from the street. The internal siren should be ceiling mounted in a central location.

3. Connect all components as indicated on the cheat sheet. Double check your connections before booting up the system.

4. Refer to the quick setup guide once the system is booted up.

We will not be held responsible for any costs involved where the system is programmed to make phone calls.

4 core cable comes in two types. We presume you are using type A with yellow and green cables. If you are using the type B with blue and white,  the BLUE = GREEN and WHITE = YELLOW in our diagrams.

Assembling the main panel

Open the PCB assembly box.

It should contain:

1x Alarm PCB Board
1x Accessory kit bag
1x Set of Bosch instructions

Open the accessory kit bag.

It contains very small parts - open it into a bowl or the cardboard box it came in. Don’t open the bag onto the table -
the small parts will get lost!
