Upgrading a Solution 6000 from 3G to 4G

You will need:

1x CM910 cable and

1x CM746 or CM747 or CM748

 

1. Power down the system by turning it off at the power point, or by removing the AC connector at the bottom left of the main board. Also disconnect the battery and TOTALLY REMOVE it from the alarm panel metalwork.

 

 

2. Once the system is fully powered down, remove the 3G board daughter board from the main PCB. It's held in place by three plastic lugs. You may need a long nose plier to remove the plastic lugs from the daughter board.

 

 

 

3. Download the latest firmware and upgrade the panel:

4. Power the system back down once the firmware is upgraded.

 

 

5. Install the SIM card into the new 4G daughter board. There are two slots available for the SIM card. Make sure you insert the SIM card into the lower slot as shown. The 2nd image shows the SIM card inserted into the incorrect slot.

6. Click the daughter board on to the same expantion slot where you removed the 3G daughter baord.

 

 

7. Reconnect the 4G antenna. Make sure you use the new 4G antenna and not the old 3G antenna.

 

All done! Power the panel back up and reconnect the battery. There is no need to change any programming.
